Kellanova Better Days Commitment

Kellanova (previously Kellogg’s® ) is respected for advancing sustainable and equitable access to food through our Better Days Promise, with a continued focus on four key areas: well-being, hunger, sustainability, and ED&I.

As Kellanova carries the Better Days Promise into a new era, we are more committed than ever before to lead with our purpose, to create better days and a place at the table for everyone through our trusted food brands.

As part of our Kellanova Better Days Promise to create better days for 4 billion people by the end of 2030, we aim to:

1. Nourish 1.5 billion people with our foods by the end of 2030,

2. Feed 400 million people facing food insecurity or crisis by the end of 2030,

3. Nurture people and the planet by creating a climate-positive future, including a new commitment to set company-wide emission reductions in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard by the end of 2050. We’ll do this by:

  • Working towards 100% renewable electricity

  • Reducing our water use in high water-stress regions by 30%

  • Reducing our food waste by 50%

  • Advancing the well-being of 250,000 people in our food value chain

  • Responsibly sourcing our 12 priority ingredients

  • Working towards 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging

4. Ensure ED&I in our workforce. This includes our aspirational goals of gender 50/50 parity at the management level by the end of 2025 and 25% of People of Color in the U.S. at the management level by the end of 2025.

5. And, because we know that we can’t do this alone, we will engage 2 billion people in advocating for sustainable and equitable access to food.

In South Africa, Kellanova is committed to advancing its efforts to tackle hunger due to inequitable access to food. As a leading food manufacturer, the company knows that it has a critical role to play in helping to overcome the hunger crisis by providing food relief to those most in need. Since 2014, the company has donated over 58 million meals through the school feeding programme.

I am so not crazy about their new name but I’m totally supportive of their vision I love it. When we have the power to do good we should do it. This is what makes me happy about supporting brands like this.
