“Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life. The belief is based on the ideas that people and their thoughts are made from “pure energy”, and that a process of like energy attracting like energy exists through which a person can improve their health, wealth, and personal relationships.” Wikipedia source here.
In an interview with Larry King, Oprah Winfrey described the success that the Law of Attraction brought into her life, she credits her understanding of it with much of her success in life.
“The way you think creates reality for yourself.” – Oprah Winfrey
Oprah says that the more that you celebrate and praise your life, the more that you will receive and have to celebrate. She is a fan of The Secret and has promoted the book on her television show. In the video below, Oprah explains how she used the Law of Attraction to create her own reality.
Funny enough Oprah heard about this process decades earlier, when she interviewed actor Jim Carrey, watch below:
Another way to attract things into your life is by using daily affirmations. Not only are they a way to improve your mindset on a daily basis, but research has shown that they can increase our feelings of self-worth. Since your thoughts play a big part in your overall success and happiness, it’s important to find ways to improve your mindset and focus on what you want and affirm it daily.
What are daily affirmations?
Put simply, they are positive phrases or statements used to challenge negative or unhelpful thoughts. Practicing positive affirmations can be extremely simple, and all you need to do is pick a phrase and repeat it to yourself. You may choose to use positive affirmations to motivate yourself, encourage positive changes in your life, or boost your self-esteem.
Is There Science Behind Them?
Positive affirmations require regular practice if you want to make lasting, long-term changes to the ways that you think and feel. Affirmations are positive reminders or statements that can be used to encourage and motivate yourself or others. Often it’s a lot easier to affirm others than it is ourselves, but we need to remember to encourage ourselves as well.
How To Use Affirmations
Some people say affirmations out loud in front of a mirror. Others simply write them down in a journal. You can also repeat them in your head each morning while brushing your teeth or driving to work.
The important thing is to find affirmations that resonate with you. There are plenty of affirmations online, so it’s important to know what you really want to focus on and use these goals when finding your daily affirmations.
The key here is that you don’t have to go through a running list of affirmations every day. Just choose a few that really speak to you and encourage you to keep moving forward and try to make them part of your daily morning and nighttime routine.
