And Dr. Youn’s method is not something that will take you all day it’s a simple 2-minute task.
Dr. Youn advised against buying products that promise to eradicate wrinkles and take years off your age immediately. Instead, implement a simple, daily routine for more realistic results.
Morning Step 1: Wash your face
In the morning, for younger-looking skin, women should be using a cleanser that’s “targeted” to their skin type. If your face feels tight after washing – it means the product is too harsh for your skin and it is removing too many natural oils from your skin.
Those with dry skin may benefit from a “milkier”, hydrating cleanser, while those with oily skin would be better off with a foaming cleanser.
Morning Step 2: Apply an antioxidant
After your morning cleanse, Dr. Youn recommended applying an antioxidant to fight free radicals. Antioxidants will protect your skin during the day from things like air pollution, car exhaust, and even some of the bad foods you may be eating.Top 10 Foods to Slow Down Signs of Ageing
The most popular anti-oxidant is Vitamin C which is used in most skin care products BUT make sure you get a Vitamin C that has not been oxidized – and always keep your Vitamin C away from the sun.
Morning Step 3. Apply Sunscreen
Next, apply sunscreen – SPF3O or more – to protect the skin from sun damage which is a main cause of premature ageing.
Evening Step 1: Wash your face
As for the evening, Dr. Youn explained that cleaning the skin is an absolute must. “This is important because all day our skin is developing oil, we’re getting grime, pollution, dirt, all of that stays in our skin.” On top of this, many women wear makeup, which can also clog the pores of the skin.”

Evening Step 2: Apply a Retin-A or Retinol
Next, Dr Youn recommended a Retin-A or Retinol anti-aging cream – unless your skin is very dry, in which case opt for a growth factor cream. For a slightly cheaper option,you can invest in a serum with peptides.
OPTIONAL EXTRA STEP
Once every 3 days for those with normal skin – and once a week for those who have sensitive skin – Dr. Youn recommends exfoliating the face.
As we age, the skin takes longer to shed, meaning it can have a dryer look. Exfoliating with speed up this process and make the skin softer.
Dr Youn’s morning and evening skincare routines should take just two minutes each, meaning less than five minutes of the day is dedicated to skincare.
