Browsing through the skin care aisle looking for a good serum can often be daunting when you do not actually know what the ingredients on the back of the bottle are.
It is easy to assume that all acids are the same or at least similar, but they are not.
Knowing the differences between the acids used in skin care products is essential for targeting skin concerns as well as ensuring you are using the correct product for your skin type.
Acids which are found in skin care products are known to turnover cells, this means that they cause older cells to shed and initiate the growth of new cells.
This in turn improves the skins texture.
But different acids target different skin concerns and are only suitable for certain skin types.
