“You are what you eat” – we’ve all heard this one before, and it couldn’t be more true. You can either heal or harm your body by what you eat and drink.

Eating unhealthy foods can leave you with low energy, bad skin, obesity, depression and they can even make you age faster! Eating healthier and making better food choices can heal your body, slow down aging, and help you respect and love your body more.

A balanced diet that includes carbohydrates, proteins, fats as well as fiber ensure a healthier life for you and your family. Certain foods can give you more energy, healthier skin, and hair, and can even slow down the aging process.

Below is a list of the top 10 anti-aging foods:

Avocado

Avocados are very high in vitamin E which is essential for glowing skin and shining hair. They are high in inflammation-fighting fatty acids that promote smooth, supple skin. Avos contain a variety of essential nutrient s which all work in fighting the negative effects of aging, including vitamins K, C, E, and A. B vitamins.

Berries

All berries are very rich in vitamin C and therefore highly useful to the body. Vitamin C helps in proper blood circulation and provides minerals and salts to all the body parts. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue, needless to say, this helps the body to fight against aging and keep fit.

Green vegetables

Broccoli, spinach, lettuce, salad leaves, and other such greens are highly beneficial for the body. Not only do they help keep the bodyweight low but also help fight toxins. Fighting toxins is important because a highly toxic body is like a magnet for all kinds of diseases that can harm the body.

    Awesome article, I eat all these things already but I will make more of an effort to include them more often. I am in my mid-forties now and looking after myself inside and out is vital. Thanks for the read
